In Utah County (Where I live) Ron Paul came second behind Mitt Romney. Yay! You can check out the results here. (Thanks for that link Dad). It wasn’t the result I was hoping for but I do have to be realistic about it and understand that most sheeple just don’t look at the positions closely enough to understand.
I went to the local “Victory” party last night at this nice lady’s house. We all introduced ourselves and talked about how we became involved in supporting Ron Paul etc. I have to admit I was a little shocked. The 9/11 truthers, peaceful anarchists, gun toting anti-socialists, John Birch Society members etc. But. . . hey. . . makes life more interesting eh? I do hope that one day someone like Ron Paul can reach out to an audience of people that are more in line with the “norm”. You know? People who are concerned about fiscal responsibility, being a nation of peace, respect, understanding and open trade with all other nations. McCain doesn’t represent that at all. 100 years in Iraq!?! Who is going to pay for that!?! Its going to be very VERY hard for me to vote for him. Looks like its back to voting for Democrats again for me. 
Oh well. I did my part.
If I ever get the urge to get involved again with something bigger than myself, I’ll throw more time into my church calling. No borders, no conspiracies, just. . . lots of. . . meetings. <sigh>.

Yes, a part of me (and us) feels disappointed and bitter about our zombie American brothers and sisters being so easily and “hamhandedly” led astray. However, standing back from our emotions we can better see that most of them are well meaning and only lack knowledge. Take solice…there are so many of us already who adore Ron Paul for “all the right reasons”. We may not have the masses behind us yet, but most of us didn’t even think “we” were out there. In addition, the coorperate media is burning credibility fast, and all their houses are built on cards. Our house is being built rock solid…on truth, honesty, and love. Because of this we don’t lose members, so we will only grow. Let us always, no matter what, keep our heads high. They will not break us because we have Ron Paul, each other, and a whole lot of friends who just don’t know it…yet.
Fellow Americans, I need to say what is in my heart. I have been watching Ron Paul from the sidelines for over 7 years, but this year I could not help myself. Ron Paul has given me inspiration and courage to stand up tall as an American. For the first time in my life I had something real to volunteer for. I took up the cause of Freedom and hit the streets, to proclaim the message of truth that Ron Paul has so eloquently spoken of for years as a congressman. I felt that my life had meaning because every day that Ron Paul ran for president was another day that this country had a chance to be liberated from the damnation that looms ahead. It has been hard for me and my family to watch this incredible man be totally dismissed by the majority of the American press and media. I stood on the sidewalk waving my Ron Paul banner high and watch the bewildered people of America drive by me with blank stares on their faces as if they were hypnotized by some sort of unseen force. But every once in a while I would hear a loud “HONK” that would break the silence of my despair and some young person would lean out the window of their beat up car and yell, with their “GO RON PAUL”!! It rejuvenated me and gave me clarity of thought to know, that with every tick of the clock the younger generation grows older and someday soon another leader as great or even greater the Ron Paul will rise up to brave this New World Order! The fact of the matter is this! Ron Paul has sparked the never dieing flam of freedom and liberty that this country has stood for, for over 230 years. Let us never give up hope and let us ever strive to defeat the forces that rise up against the human Spirit of Liberty. Wake up America! It’s time to believe once again. Ron Paul’s triumphant battle against the establishment is not his alone! It is ours to inherit, to us it belongs! Never give up! Never give in! Fight for your rights as Americans to the very end!

Coming in with 10% of all votes on a write-in would shake things up even more.
