VLC just switched over to 1.0 with a great new feature. Frame by frame advance! Wow. For YEARS and years this has been the only reason why I still have quicktime installed on my machine. The ability to pause and then use the arrow keys on my keyboard to really look at how the animation is working frame by frame is invaluable. So! I install the new VLC and load up a movie and click the frame advance button in the advanced menu interface option and. . . soon realize that this is a one way trip. No backwards! Forwards but not backwards. . .
What. . . the. . .
I don’t understand how this is so hard. Like I said quicktime has done it for years. . . why can’t VLC? While I applaud any application moving in this direction, I wonder why they even bothered adding it in if it only works one way.
